There are very few apps on the Google Play Store that have reached 5 billion installations, following some of Google's pre-orders. The third-party messaging app WhatsApp is now the second non-Google app to do this, collecting more than ten years of data on both the Android and Play Store.
Given the popularity of WhatsApp worldwide, it would come as no surprise and the company itself launched its 5 billion Facebook content by the end of last year (via Android police). WhatsApp is not only a perfect messenger, but easy to use, with no platform, it has some built-in features, and it integrates well with your contact book to create the entire communication path.
Given that WhatsApp has over 1 billion daily users, it is not surprising that the app found the app on the Google Play Store. It is important to note that this figure includes previously established species. Samsung's smartphones are already pre-installed with various voice apps. Huawei did until recently to keep up with US-China trade news and writing.
This may be the best part of the 5 billion downloads, but it is not for everyone. With so many user interfaces, it is not surprising that WhatsApp has managed such a fantastic launch - it's amazing how long it takes to reach 5 billion on Android.
Of course, such a high percentage does not mean that WhatsApp is the best marketing platform. There are many other concrete options, but for some reason, WhatsApp is becoming more popular and will probably be around for a while.
